Meet Me Halfway . . .
|
|
In a lifetime
Made of memories
I believe
In destiny
Every moment returns again in time
When I've got the future on my mind
Know that you'll be the only one
Meet me halfway
Across the sky
Out where the world belongs
to only you and I
In a lifetime
There is only love
Reaching for the lonely one
We are stronger when we are given love
When we put emotions on the line
Know that we are the timeless ones

Hutan Lipur Sungai Tekala.
|
|
After the initial disappointment at Gabai Falls, arriving in Sg. Tekala was like a breath of fresh air. As this was my first visit to this location, I didn't know what to expect here. The only thing about this location was the long journey it took me to arrive here. Sg. Tekala is located deep into Ulu Langat after the Pangsun dam. I had contemplated turning back on numerous occasions along the way for fear of getting lost and being unable to find my way out. However, I preservered and was rewarded with a place much more spectacular than Gabai Falls...

Shooting the Falls - Hutan Lipur Gabai.
|
|
Today's grand plan was to head down to Ulu Langat to shoot the waterfalls at Hutan Lipur Sg. Gabai. This visit is actually my third visit to this location. The past two visits all ended up in disappointment. The Gabai falls is one of the most spectacular falls in the Ulu Langat area. However, it is also a location which is virtually impossible to capture a succesfull image properly. Today's visit was no different.. my images of this place were all rubbish. The waterfalls may be imposing, but it is really difficult to compose a succesfull image here.. there was virtually no place for me set-up the tripod at all. Most of the area around the falls were too narrow or too rocky which left me no place at all to stand the tripod. Therefore, I just had to make the best out of it and just shoot without composing. I have given up on this place and will not return again anytime soon...
Having decided not to risk my life and camera on the slippery rocks, i made a decision to head down to Hutan Lipur Sg. Tekala which is around 20 km. from here...
Technical Specs:
All images was shot using the EOS 5D which was securely mounted on a Manfrotto 075B tripod. As always, I shot using the Aperture Priority Mode (Av) by selecting an aperture of f/22. This gave me a shutter speed of 0.5 seconds. I had reduce the exposure by 1/2 stops using exposure compensation upon noticing blinking highlights in the histogram. The ISO was set at ISO 50 and metering was evaluative. I had selected the Neutral Picture Style and the Daylight WB in the camera. However, I changed to the Standard PS and Cloudy WB during processing in DPP. A B & W circular polarizer filter was also used to eliminate reflections on the rocks. The shutter was fired using the self-timer in conjuction with the mirror lock-up function.
See what I mean on the difficulty in shooting a properly composed image at this location? I had found a nice place to set-up the tripod.. but what was the stupid bamboo branch doing across the image? It was not there during my last visit. No matter how hard I tried to change the angle of the shot, there was no way I could eliminate the branch completely. I tried cloning it out in photoshop but that proved virtually impossible.
Shot at f/22 at 0.7 seconds.

Waterfall Series...
|
|
Since Ruwaida will be uploading some waterfall shots soon (hopefully), I too do not want to miss out on this happy occasion. These images are not new as it was taken some time ago. It has been sitting all the while in the waterfall folder of my hard disk without getting the due attention that it deserves. I just selected a few shots which was composed vertically (portrait format) and created the framing in photoshop...
Hopefully, I will be uploading some new pics by next week...

Please Forgive Me . . .
|
|
Hello... my name is Suwaniza. But u must call me Wan Poyos as I kind of like that name. I am working in Maybank PJ Trade Finance Centre as a normal officer. However, I like to think of myself as the manager of the centre as it gives me more class. It also helps to attract chicks.
Yesss!!!! I no longer have any competition. Since Amril left PJTFC for Shah Alam, I am now officially the cutest guy in PJTFC *. More and more chicks from PJ Business Centre are paying attention to me. So to any single ladies out there who would like to get close to me, just drop a comment and the owner of this FP will provide further details on how u can contact me...
P/S - Amril, I hope that you can forgive me. I admit, it was I who caused you to be transferred to Shah Alam TFC. I realised that I could not compete with you on looks and brain... I was always second best to you. I couldn't take it anymore... I know that I had to get rid of you someway. It was me who influenced the manager to transfer you out. I mean, most of the ladies in PJBC was paying more attention to u.. they just ignored me because of you... it was like i didn't exist anymore. I COULDN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE... I hope one day u can find it inside you to forgive me and understand why I had to do what I did...
* Voted by the ladies in PJBC in April 2007 (after Amril was transferred to Shah Alam TFC).
