Hutan Lipur Sungai Tua.. Revisited.

Sungai Tua 2005
This is my second visit to the beautiful Forest Reserve of Sungai Tua which is just 30 minutes from Selayang (Batu Caves). My first visit was way back in December 2005 and I just felt that i did not truly capture the "essence" of the place then.
However, this visit proved much more challenging the the first time as the lighting on this day was absolutely dull. So much so that even my polarizer filter proved redundant. Another challenge I encountered when making these shots are the absolute difficulty in setting up my tripod. There was virtually no flat ground anywhere around me. As a result of this, I had to balance my tripod precariously on top slippery rocks and tree roots. My composition in this instance leaves much to be desired, but I felt that I have made the most that I could in terms of image composition. I do not think that there will be a third visit to this place as I feel that today, I have managed to capture the image which I had imagined beforehand.
This image was taken when I first went to Sungai Tua in December 2005.

The Wedding of Masrizal and Anis...
This week I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding at Bukit Jelutong. Nothing fancy, just straight forward shots with a little bit of photoshop editing.

Another subject that I love exploring is "twillight shots" or shots taken "at the edge of day.."

One of my favourite photographic subjects is waterfalls. I am always in search of new and accesible waterfalls around Malaysia. So anyone with info regarding great waterfall sites do let me know, ok?

Bali Paradise

These images were taken during my holidays in Bali. At that time, I was still using the 10D which was a great camera. I have upgraded to the 5D since which is an even greater camera.
